(Almost) Daily How-To #13
Listening: “Head Over Feet” by Alanis Morissette
Watching: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Thinking: I really need a day off, so much to do!
How to Annoy Me: After spending good time at Sam’s Club figuring out what HDTV I want, I go to the checkout and am told that they don’t accept VISA. I’m sorry, isn’t VISA supposed to be “everywhere you want to be?” Apparently “wholesale clubs” such as Sam’s Club and Costco limit which credit cards they will process due to “transaction fees.” I’m sorry, but if the independent coffee shop I go to can swallow the credit card fees, a big profitable company like Sam’s Club should. Needless to say, Fry’s Electronics received my business.
Quote of the Day: “There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.” – Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart
- Well said Sam… too bad your company no longer reflects your vision… which is why I went somewhere else.
