(Almost) Daily How-To #48

Listening: “Yellow” by Jem. It’s a cover of Coldplay’s song and it sounds so good! Thanks to Brad Ruggles for bringing it to my attention!

Thinking: It’s going to be a busy weekend! Saturday includes a run on the Monon at 10 a.m., child’s birthday party at 2:00 p.m., and Valentine’s Day dinner with the girls in the evening. I’m hoping that after church on Sunday I’ll get to relax, but the apartment needs cleaned… crap. Maybe next weekend will be better, although I doubt it. Ha ha!

Thankful For: All the wonderful people in my life, you all are amazing and I love you all!

How to Make Me Laugh: Chad and I had dinner at Hotbox Pizza tonight. He was so amazed that they were giving away free cups… seriously, accountants are so cheap! I finally convinced him that he needed to buy a new laptop… I wonder if I can convince him to buy a MacBook….

How to Annoy Me: Fail to be considerate… even in the most basic things. For example, I was in a left-turn lane waiting for the light. When it finally changed, the person in front of me decided that they didn’t want to turn left anymore. Would it have been so hard to make a left-turn and connect with that road later? It’s not like turning left is going to prevent you from getting back on track! Ha ha!

Fun Fact: I found a cool site which checks my NetFlix account to see how much value I’m really getting out of NetFlix. The site is called FeedFlix and it looks at your past history and makes a calculation as to how much it costs per movie. When it logged into my account, it said that I’m paying about $2.31 a movie. Not bad considering a Blu-Ray rental at Hollywood Video usually runs around $5 with a due date.

Funny Quote of the Day: From The Office… thanks for thinking of me Jane!

“Whenever I’m about to do something, I think, ‘Would an idiot do that?’ And if they would, I do not do that thing.” – Dwight K. Schrute

Quote of the Day: “People need to see that, far from being an obstacle, the world’s diversity of languages, religions and traditions is a great treasure, affording us precious opportunities to recognize ourselves in others.” – Youssou N’Dour (from “The Way I See It” printed on Starbucks cups)
