(Almost) Daily Ramblings #54
What I’m Watching: Disc one of the HBO series, From the Earth to the Moon.
What I’m Listening To: I just picked up a copy of Christopher Wilburn’s first CD, Uncensored. I haven’t found it online anywhere yet, but you can get it at the Grace Community Church bookstore. Chris is part of our vocal community at Grace and has an awesome voice.
What I’m Looking Forward To: Celebrating my GrandDad’s and Aunt Suzi’s birthday tomorrow. Yay!
Highlight of the Day: I originally was not looking forward to getting up at 9 a.m. to go on the Monon with my workout group. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to see them, I did. I just didn’t like the 30 degree weather. But once my face was completely frozen, it wasn’t so bad! I also enjoyed “sassing” the barista at Starbucks, she said I was being sassy, I’m just keeping her on her toes. It was good to see my friends Jane, Ali, and Stephanie!
Great Find of the Day: Since late November I have had a fake cardboard fireplace above my TV (pic). I must’ve really not pay too much attention because it has been up since late November until today, that’s almost three months! So I decided to go to Hobby Lobby to find a nice print and frame to hang on the wall. I decided on a print called “Afternoon in Paris” and found a nice black frame to go around it. The print and the frame were both half off… sweet! I also had a pretty good conversation with the guy who helped me put the hook and wire on the back of it. Here’s a picture of the print:

Quote of the Day: “God allows us to experience the low points of life in order to teach us lessons we could not learn in any other way. The way we learn those lessons is not to deny the feelings but to find the meanings underlying them.” – Stanley Lindquist
I love black and white photos! Not a big fan on Ansel Adams though… something about rural landscapes doesn’t appeal to me. Wonder why that is? Ha ha!
Ha ha! I kind of think that Ansel Adams is the Thomas Kinkade of photography. EVERYONE tries to own something by him and thinks he’s the greatest, but I’m not too impressed.
