(Almost) Daily Ramblings #55
What I’m Listening To: “Free Fallin’” by Tom Petty
What I’m Working On: Curtis and I have been recording pre- and post-roll audio for the Justice Seminar recordings using Audacity. I’m kind of mad that the external microphone that we used didn’t work, so we used the internal mic on my MacBook. Look for the Justice Seminar audio on GraceCC.org soon!
What I’m Looking Forward To: Week two of Carmel Citizen’s Police Academy tonight. You can read about week one here!
Currently Wondering: I saw the Carmel Streets Department removing the snow plow guide sticks from the medians… are they predicting that there will be no more snow? I hope so!
Discovery of the Day: I had lunch with Johnny, Tim, Vinnie, and Dave Q. Johnny suggested that I put the Chick-Fil-A dipping sauce on my chicken sandwich… it tasted pretty good!
Bible Lesson of the Day: I’m currently doing the One Year Bible in chronological order (click here to download a PDF of my reading plan). I read Genesis 32:1-35:27. It talks about Jacob preparing to meet Esau and Jacob wrestling with God.
I really want to install my Logos Bible Study Software on the MacBook so I can read the passages with a commentary running parallel, but they’re charging $50 for the Mac program. I’ve already spent a big chunk of money for the PC software (and all the eBooks) and so I’m not looking forward to parting with any more money right now. Maybe I should install the PC version in VMWare? I would prefer not to, it’d probably run too slow.
Quote of the Day: “It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” – Charles Dickens
