(Almost) Daily Ramblings #61
What I’m Listening To: “Lead Me to the Cross” by Hillsong United and “Kiss A Girl” by Keith Urban.
Currently Working On: Random things on my to-do list and planning ahead for next week.
Annoyance of the Week: I’d like to thank Microsoft for turning me into an Apple fan boy. Had installed XP in Boot Camp and it was working until the “Windows Activation” utility started acting screwy. From there, I couldn’t even log-in to fix the problem. So I re-installed Windows and tried again, it’s still giving me crap. Why did I insert the product key during installation if they’re going to screw me over later with activation problems?
It’s okay, I don’t really use Windows much anymore, but have a couple programs I was going to put on there. I may try one more time, but after that, I’m saying goodbye to Microsoft.
Video of the Day: Like most videos, I don’t remember how I came across this one. I might’ve found it while browsing Digg. This is a video of a flight attendant from Southwest Airlines who just got tired of doing the same boring announcements, so he created a little rap! Kudos to Southwest for having a sense of humor and having cool employees.
Picture of the Day: Here’s a picture of the historic Peele house which was on the corner of 2nd Avenue NW and W. Main Street in Carmel, IN. The house once belonged to William and Elizabeth Peele in the 1800s. Carmel was originally named “Bethlehem,” but when the town residents found that there was already a Bethlehem, IN, Elizabeth Peele searched her Bible and came across the name “Carmel.” According to town records, the house was built in 1900. It has been temporarily relocated until a permanent site is ready. It was moved to make way for a new mixed-use development in the area.

Quote of the Day: “History is the witness that testifies to the passing of time; it illumines reality, vitalizes memory, provides guidance in daily life, and brings us tidings of antiquity.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero
