(Almost) Daily Ramblings #78
What I’m Watching: The Houston Astros vs. the Chicago Cubs. I don’t know why, but I love watching Cubs home games. When I was younger I can remember Dad watching them. He doesn’t watch them as much any more, so I guess I’ll pick up the torch and run with it.
What I’m Reading: Just started a new book called Surprised by Hope by NT Wright. A lot of Grace CC people are reading it and I’ve heard some good things, so I’m checking it out.
Accomplishments of the Weekend: This weekend was an AWESOME weekend of relaxation and productivity. I FINALLY took the test for my amateur radio license and I cleaned the entire apartment. Woo hoo!
Highlight of the Weekend: This is a big toss-up. I’m so happy that my friend Mark came to town. We went down to Broad Ripple and ate at the Ripple Bagel & Deli, followed up to a visit to Mark’s favorite Starbucks location, and topped off with a visit to Indy CD & Vinyl.
Just as awesome was playing tennis with Chad, Adam, Betsy, Faith, Steven, Rachel, and Papa Arthur. It was a gorgeous day and a perfect way to spend the afternoon. I need to work on my serves a little bit though.
What I’m Looking Forward To: Four day weekend! I didn’t originally plan it this way, but I’m taking Friday off to go down to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Carb Day. Not to mention that I already get Monday off for Memorial Day… sweet!
Quote of the Day: “The church is always trying to get other people to reform; it might not be a bad idea to reform itself a little, by way of example.” – Mark Twain
