(Almost) Daily Ramblings #79
What I’m Listening To: Currently listening to Carmel PD on my police radio, it’s a pretty quiet night so far.
Accomplishment of the Day: Made it down to W9IMS which is a ham radio club in Indianapolis. Got to practice my new-found skills on better equipment than what I currently have. Plus, it was great to meet some of the guys I’ve been talking to on the radio.
Lesson Learned Today: Wear sunscreen. Was at the track for Carb Day and didn’t think I’d really need sunscreen since I’d be in-and-out of a suite… boy was I wrong!
Blast from the Past: Saw Don Marsh today at the track. Kind of weird to see him, haven’t seen him in a while (I worked for Marsh for eight years).
Goals for the Weekend: Having a four-day weekend should be pretty sweet, here’s what I hope to accomplish:
- Clean and organize closets
- Download and backup photos from my digital camera
- Lightly clean the apartment
- Read more of the book Surprised by Hope
- Write a few blog entries
- RELAX!
What I’m Looking Forward To: I’m really looking forward to relaxing this weekend and getting some stuff done. Also hoping to see most of the family on Monday for a cookout and possibly hanging out with my peeps as well!
Picture of the Day: I was up in Teri’s office the other day. She’s one of the lucky ones because her office is out of the way (so people don’t really bother her much) AND she has lots of windows. Well, there are at least two nests on the ledge outside her window… here is one….

Quote of the Day: “If you think the last four words of the national anthem are ‘Gentlemen, start your engines,’ you might be a redneck.” – Jeff Foxworthy
