(Almost) Daily Ramblings #86
What I’m Listening To: "Little Man, You’ve Had a Busy Day" by Art Tatum. It’s the perfect music for a rainy day.
Accomplishment of the Week: I’ve been working on conquering a lot of stuff at home that I’ve been procrastinating on. I finally got my financial aid paperwork done for school, went into school and found out how many credit hours I have left (15) and what classes I have to take to finish my degree. I’ve been keeping up with diet and exercise, weighed in at 198 pounds this morning, woo hoo!
What made me smile yesterday: For work yesterday, we drove down to Shepherd Community and helped out around the center and in the surrounding neighborhood (Shepherd is really passionate about their surrounding neighborhood).
Well, I got done a little early, so I was able to go home and enjoy a nice bike ride on the Monon Trail. On my way home, I usually stop by my Dad’s house to see his dog, Einstein. This dog is adorable and it was so hard to leave him when he stands up against the fence and looks at me with his tongue hanging out. Einstein has been a great joy and blessing.
Sometimes I get tired of him jumping on me and I really enjoy having him around when he settles down, but he is a great dog! Einstein is a yellow lab.
What I’m Looking Forward To: I’m looking forward to Faith and Betsy coming home! Faith comes home first and then Betsy (being the popular person she is) has a few other places she has to go before she comes home.
Picture of the Day: I have some new neighbors in my neighborhood. Yup, they installed another statue. This one is just south of Main Street on Rangeline Road. It’s called "Elements".

Quote of the Day: “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless–it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.” – C.S. Lewis
